Please let us know in which chapter,
and whether in Book ONE or Book Two
of Don Quixote, appears the quote
you mention:

That page 17 you indicate does not contain the
quote, in any of the eleven Edition our Center
for the Study of Renaiscance literature appears.

Thank you in advance because it is a basic, explicit and fundamental statement which Cervantes could have written on Don Quijote
